Jorge Caiado holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics to Economics and Management and is an Associate Professor with Habilitation at ISEG – University of Lisbon. He is a researcher at the Centre for Applied Mathematics to Forecasting and Economic Decision-Making. With international academic experience, including visiting positions at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and other institutions, he is also the co-founder of GlobalSolver, a startup focused on AI and Big Data solutions. He has worked as a consultant and trainer in Machine Learning, Data Science, and Forecasting for a wide range of companies and public institutions. He is the author of several scientific publications and books, including Artificial Intelligence – A Beginner’s Guide, Python and Data Exploration, Forecasting Methods in Management, and Time Series Clustering and Classification. Recipient of the Spanish IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Award in 2007, he is also co-inventor of an US patent in the field of B2B procurement optimization.
