Maggie João has enjoyed an international career spanning more than 29 years. After completing two Master's degrees, one in Industrial Engineering from IST in Portugal and another in Production Management from CTH in Sweden, she spent 12 years in industry. During this period, she worked for prestigious multinational companies in the automotive, food, and professional services sectors, including Volvo Cars, Nestlé (focusing on Industrial Performance and Supply Chain), and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Over the past 17 years, Maggie has built a highly successful career in the coaching field, where the practical and resultsoriented approach she brings from her engineering background is particularly valued. She holds the highest credentials awarded by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), including the Master Certified Coach (MCC) designation, as well as the Master Practitioner accreditation from the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC). Maggie is also an accredited coach supervisor with the Association for Coaching, providing both individual and group supervision. She supports coaches in their professional growth and continuous development, helping them strive for excellence and uphold the highest standards of quality within the coaching profession.
She works with executives across a wide range of industries worldwide, helping them strengthen their leadership capabilities, enhance their interpersonal effectiveness, improve team management skills, and achieve a healthier balance between their professional and personal lives.
Maggie is also a published author, having written 15 books on coaching in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. In addition, she regularly contributes to magazines and publications on coaching-related topics. Having lived and worked in 12 countries, she has gained extensive cross-cultural experience, which distinguishes her within the coaching profession and enables her to work effectively with leaders from diverse backgrounds around the world.
